Like I’ve been busy or something. Seriously, what am I doing with all my time??? 
I’m trying to incorporate the kids more in the kitchen. It’s very difficult for me. I’ve seen my mom with both kiddos on the counter, flour EVERYWHERE, egg splattered cheeks (HERS!), and smiles all around. SO not me. But we’re working on it! In this case Monica was helping me make marshmallows. For some reason the simple recipes never jump out at me.

Tim found this bad boy on our porch- a black mamba. Later in the year we found all kinds of baby mambas. Ah! Not a good mix with little kids! So far Monica has been really good about leaving them alone. She generally comes SCREAMING in the door: “DAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! DAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! QUICK! GET YOUR SWORD!”
Snakes on a Porch
For my birthday this year Tim decided to spoil me rotten. I have no idea what went into this cake but Tim made it completely from scratch, all by himself. It was triple layer with chocolate smothered and stuffed all over it. 
I cut the rest up into slivers, froze them, and stretched it out over the next four months.

It’s Soooo Monica…….and I’m glad that snake got killed….I would be running and screaming too. Love the cake….good idea to freeze. I will have to try it sometime…

Guess I will get out my “snake prayers”– I would be screaming, “get a sword” too! I do not like snakes. God be with you.

Dear Tim and Co.
Harold Kelly sent your email to me and as is typically a Harold thing to do asked that you and your family be remembered in our prayers which I have been doing since his email to me.
Although we’ve never met, I’ve been a local ministry here in Pagosa supported by Grace for several years. I see about five to seven people a month from Grace and Grace’s Elders have been kind enough to send a monthly stipend to me in thanks which I appreciate very much.
I have been a psychologist for more than thirty five years working in Los Angeles, San Francisco, Santa Fe, and then here in Pagosa for the past fifteen years. I began here in Pagose as Director of Victims of Domestic Violence and Sexual Abuse Advocacy Program, in fact I wrote the Grant for the Program for Archuleta County which is strongly continuing. I moved back into private practice where I can do more work.
Black Mambos?!! I’ve read about them. Man, you are in my payers always if only for that! Yet it seems that you are very involved there. I am sure it is not romantic and hard work but Praise our Lord you have such work to do as I am sure you are constantly doing, I.E., working and praying.
